Alberton is a large residential town situated on the East Rand of the Gauteng Province of South Africa. The town was founded in 1904 and has now become a part of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

Alberton provides easy access to all major cities in Gauteng, such as Joburg and Pretoria, via the main R59, N12 and N3 highways; additionally, Alberton is only a 15-minute drive away from Johannesburg’s city centre and O.R. Tambo International Airport.

Alberton is a leafy and quiet town, which is primarily residential in character, with properties for sale and rent ranging from inexpensive to more costly elite homes. Today, Alberton has become popular with industrial developers and is the home of the largest brewery on the African continent.
